Retromotorman
(Just another wreck in the car park of life!)
Boot installation, fuel/electrics/spares
The boot is the next job for me as I want to complete the rear of the car first, and work forward. As you can see from the pic's above I have removed the old fuel tank, the reason for this is that it protruded quit low and was a risk area should the car see competition. The area will be covered with some dural if I can cadge some and will then house the spare wheel and jack etc. As you can see the Lotus tank fits quite snug and well out of the way. I think I will thread the fuel/brake and power lines down the inside of the rear chassis as this is were the plastic sheathing went for the rear screen demister and will make things very neat.
Below shows the tank, now painted, resting in situ, just could not resist having a quick look, and either side the full install! Made the filler from some old ally and used the Lotus neck, all plumbed up, ye!
